Eric is the Chair of the EAZA Conservation Committee, the Science, Collection, and Conservation Director at ZooParc de Beauval in France, and the Conservation Director of Beauval Nature Conservation and Research Foundation.
Eric is a strong supporter of in situ conservation across Asia and has a particular interest in the Annamites. In 2005, he started the White-footed Tamarin (Saguinus leucopus) International Conservation Programme in Colombia, and still coordinates it.
Eric has extensive expertise in wildlife reintroductions and active management of populations; he is also actively involved in supporting the use of emerging technologies (e.g. eDNA) for conservation. He holds Master’s degrees in Anthropology and Biology.
